1. What is efficiency?

What is effectiveness?

＊ Having the power to produce a result; efficient.

＊ 運用最少的資源而能達成目標
2. Can you tell the difference between efficiency and effectiveness?
What is the difference?
efficiency：即把這件事做對（求快）－指資源的使用，手段（means）的表現。
effectiveness：即選對的事來做（求對）－指目標的達成，目的（end）的表現。
＊ 效能是指組織目標的達成；效率則是指組織成員需求的滿足。Barnard (1938)
＊ 效能是指組織在一段時間內有效達成其目標；
而效率則指在短期內組織善用其資源。Hit, Middlemist &Mathis (1986)
＊ 效率是指運用資源的程度與能力，凡是能夠將人力、物力、財力，
及時間做最妥善的分配者即是效率；
而效能則為達成目標的程度，是指資源運用以後所產生的結果，
凡是完全達成目標者即為效果。
＊ 有衝突，或無法兼顧時應以效能為主，因為效能較效率來得重要，
效能是組織成功的基礎，效率則是組織成功之後，其生存所需之條件。
