最後兩個有歷史意義, Z旗(日本海軍), Equal Speed Charlie London (皇家海軍, 1916)
前者很廣為人知, 而後者的意思:

[The column nearest SE by E is to alter course in succession to that point of
the compass, the remaining columns altering course leading ships together,
the rest in succession so as to form astern of that column, maintaining the
speed of the fleet.]

約翰·傑利科爵士在日德蘭海戰當天1815時對戰鬥艦隊下令佈署戰列線,
於旗艦戰艦鐵公爵升起 Equal Speed Charlie London
十五分鐘後戰列線成功對舍爾的艦隊建立T字
