前陣子 Kerbal Space Program 公開了二代的宣傳片
在推文中有人提到了間諜軟體的問題
因此便google了一下，發現了是個叫 Red Shell 的軟體
在其官網有基本介紹與FAQ：

Red Shell empowers developers to make better decisions about the
effectiveness of their marketing campaigns by showing them which campaigns
drive dedicated players to their game and which don't. With this insight
developers are able to cut spending on campaigns that don't work and focus
their efforts on improving their game.
由上段文字得知，Red Shell蒐集資訊，用以幫助開發者審視行銷策略的成效
至於蒐集什麼資訊呢？
This data is specific to the device you use and is limited to operating
system, installed browsers, screen resolution, available fonts, IP address,
timezone, and system language.
包括使用的作業系統、安裝的瀏覽器、螢幕解析度、字型、IP、時區與系統語言
Red Shell 聲稱，此軟體不會追蹤個人資訊，而限於使用的裝置：
Our service basically says "this computer clicked on a link from this YouTube
video and the same computer played your game."
(這台電腦點了一個這部Youtube影片的連結，同一台電腦也玩了(開發者的)遊戲)
同樣陷入過 Red Shell 風波的 Total War 系列開發商 CA

至於能不能選擇關閉此軟體的功能(opt-out)
根據官網敘述，使用此軟體的開發者能夠調整關於數據分析的任何服務
也包含了 Red Shell 在內
因此一般而言可能要找遊戲開發商處理
而於上方討論串中，CA 的人員則表示
將於從使用本軟體的遊戲中將其移除
在官網還有一些技術相關的內容，小弟不甚了解
想問的是，一般人需要怎麼樣的資源與知識
才能夠驗證其聲稱的內容呢？
