5 Presentation
The story lacks any meaningful conflict or direction, and the cast is devoid
of any solid voice work. Even the returning characters from Atelier Totori
seem to have lost their spark.
7.5 Graphics
Regardless of how polarizing the art style is, it's clear that a lot of care
was put into the fine details. A noticeable frame rate stutter in certain
areas keeps it from being quite as polished as its prequel.
5 Sound
The music isn't quite as catchy as in previous installments, but the voice
work is just as bad if not worse, regardless of which language you hear it
in.
6.5 Gameplay
While the core mechanics are as engaging as ever, they get buried in an
obtrusive barrage of inane dialogue scenes. A never-ending list of busy work
keeps you from truly exploring the potential of the excellent crafting
system.
7 Lasting Appeal
New game+, 10 different endings to see and countless items to craft. Your
enjoyment of the game will be the only limiting factor of replayability.
6 Overall Okay
