Giordano given Messina job

Sicilian giants Messina have appointed Bruno Giordano
as their new Coach, the club have confirmed.
The Roman, born in August 1956, has signed a one-year deal
and replaces Giampiero Ventura after he failed to keep
the club in Serie A last season.

Giordano, a former striker, started his coaching career
at Ancona in Serie C1 in 1998-99 before moving to Lecco,
Aquila and Reggiana.
He was handed his first Serie B role last term when
Catanzaro turned to him in an effort to avoid relegation.
