Cagliari appoint Coach Giampaolo

Ex-Ascoli boss Marco Giampaolo is officially the new Cagliari Coach
after penning a two-year contract.

“I am very happy to have arrived at Cagliari and to be part of
an important project,” said the 39-year-old.
Giampaolo說：「我非常高興能來到 Cagliari成為重要計畫中的一員。」
He began his career as a talent scout for Pescara,
then became assistant manager at the club and played the same role
at both Giulianova and Teramo.
Giampaolo took on a co-Coaching role with Massimo Silva
at Ascoli in 2004, earning a surprise promotion into Serie A.
This partnership caused controversy towards the end of
the current campaign, as he was suspended and fined for working
as a Head Coach without the necessary qualifications.

In Italy, a manager can only take charge of a Serie A side
after earning a certificate in the Coverciano Coaching course.

Giampaolo has been signed up for the Masters degree course this week,
which allows him to qualify for the Cagliari job.
Giampaolo本週已經去報名了，讓他有資格執教 Cagliari。
It is hoped he can bring stability to the Sardinian side,
who went through three tacticians in the opening three games of the season.
Fourth choice Nedo Sonetti eventually managed to steer them
clear of relegation, but was not asked to renew his contract.
