Beretta is new Siena boss

Serie A minnows Siena have appointed Mario Beretta as their new Coach,
the club have confirmed this afternoon.
Beretta was in pole position to be handed the job and
he will be officially presented to the Press at the weekend.
The tactician spent the last campaign at Parma and
sensationally guided them to safety despite
the outfit's continuing financial problems.
“The club would like to communicate that Mario Beretta,
who has freed himself from his contractual obligations with Parma,
has confirmed his disposal to Coach Siena next season,”
read an official statement.
“He will meet with the club's directors on Sunday to sign
the agreement and will then be presented to the media.”
Beretta, sacked by Chievo in the 2004-05 campaign,
replaces Gigi De Canio who quit earlier this month.
