Donadoni had no Italy doubts

Roberto Donadoni has revealed that he accepted to become
the new Italy boss in just a matter of minutes.
The former Milan winger was appointed last night and has admitted
that he was so keen to take the position that he's not even agreed
financial terms yet.
Donadoni昨晚被正式任命為義大利國家隊主教練，
他坦承自己熱切希望能接掌該職位，甚至薪資都沒談就同意了。
“It all happened in just a few moments. I'm happy and excited,
but I must stay calm,” the 42-year-old stated on Friday.
Donadoni說：「一切都發生得很快，我很高興也很興奮，不過還是要保持冷靜。」
“A handshake was all that was needed with [FIGC commissioner]
Guido Rossi. We spoke about a number of issues, but not financial ones
which really don't matter right now.”
「跟足協主席 Guido Rossi握個手就搞定了一切，
我們討論了一些議題，不過沒討論薪資問題，那根本不重要！」
Donadoni is set to meet with Rossi on Tuesday where he will draw up
a contract and agree on a backroom staff who will accompany him
on his adventure. He'll then be unveiled to the media.
Coaching預定週二再次與 Rossi會面討論合約問題，
其後會有正式記者會與公眾見面。
“I'm very proud of this appointment and I know that
there is some hard work ahead of me,”
added the former Lecco, Genoa and Livorno boss.
「對於被任命為國家隊主教練我感到非常光榮，我知道還有許多苦差要做。」
Donadoni has been in pole position to succeed Lippi for some time now,
even if he concedes he knew nothing until the start of this week.
Donadoni始終是 Lippi接班的頭號人選。
“I kept reading my name in the papers, but I didn't hear from anyone
in the Federation until the day after the World Cup Final,” he added.
「我老是在報紙上讀到自己的名字，不過我一直沒從足協方面得到消息，
直到世界盃決賽後的那一天。」
Donadoni has a tough job to follow after inheriting the world champions
from the former Juventus maestro.
Yet the winner of 63 Italian caps is promising maximum effort
even though living up to the achievements of his predecessor
will be a problematic task.
“Coaching is my job and I'll work as hard as I can
even if we are all aware of what Lippi did before me,” he concluded.
