Palermo complete Simplicio swoop

Parma's Brazilian winger Fabio Simplicio is officially a Palermo player
and could be joined by Italian international Aimo Diana.
The negotiations for Simplicio had been at an advanced stage
for some time, but the move was finally completed this evening,
announced the Sicilian club.
The 26-year-old scored 10 Serie A goals in 37 appearances
for Parma this season and underwent a medical yesterday.
No financial details were confirmed.
The Rosanero also announced that they have bought out the remaining
50 per cent of Cesena defender Maurizio Ciaramitaro's contract,
joining summer arrivals Alberto Fontana, Roberto Guana
and Francesco Parravicini.
Another addition is on his way for Francesco Guidolin's ambitious outfit,
as Sampdoria midfielder Diana hinted at a Sicilian switch.
“I am fascinated by Palermo's atmosphere and know negotiations
are in place, so I'm keeping in close contact with my agent.
We'll see what happens, but these matters are rarely resolved quickly,”
said the player who missed out on a World Cup call due to injury.
Diana has also been linked with Fiorentina and Milan,
but seems set for a challenge at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.
“We have to evaluate many things, but clearly Palermo is a solution
that interests me. If I want to leave, then it's got to be for a step up
in my career. Right now, I believe Palermo's plans are better than
those of Sampdoria. I haven’t spoken to the club for some time and
the situation is in stasis.”
The Rosanero are also said to be in talks with Verona defender
Mattia Cassani, who is a target for Juventus.
In other transfer news, Siena have agreed a deal to bring in
Ternana hitman Mario Frick, an international star for Liechtenstein.
The 31-year-old has worn the jerseys of Balzers, San Gallo,
Basel, Zurich, Arezzo and Verona in his career.
