Carboni extends Valencia stay

Amedeo Carboni has renewed his contract with Valencia in a deal that
will keep him with the club until the age of 41.
The former Roma and Italy defender has put pen to paper on a new
contract that won’t expire until June 2006.
Carboni has been in Spain since his 1997 switch when he left the
Giallorossi on a free transfer at the age of 32.
The left-back, capped 18 times by the Azzurri, has now played over
500 League games after his spells in Serie A and La Liga.
Valencia tried to replace him in January when they made a bid for
Stefano Bettarini. But Samp rejected their approach.
