Opinion: The best and the rest Monday 10 May, 2004 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The best… Roberto Baggio (Brescia) Even Alex Del Piero would struggle to score the type of goal that Roberto Baggio netted on Sunday. He may be retiring from football next week but the legend still has all the magic touches. He'll be sadly missed. Alberto Gilardino (Parma) He didn't score against Inter yesterday but his performance illustrated the fact that this boy can play a bit. He strikes fear into opposing defences and his assist for a Benito Carbone shot was superb. He has a bright future ahead of him. Christian Vieri (Inter) He didn't have a great game against Parma but we applaud Vieri for his effort during the match. He did his best and tried to get on the scoresheet but the service just wasn’t there for him again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The rest… Mohamed Kallon (Inter) He was surprisingly selected in possibly Inter’s most important game of the season and did very little to justify it. He struggled to find the correct position during his time on the field. Kallon hadn't played for six months because of a drugs ban while Adriano was initially left on the bench. Why? President Paolo De Luca (Siena) On a day that Siena ensured their Serie A safety, the President couldn't resist having a swipe at Milan and Roma for losing to fellow strugglers Reggina and Perugia. There is no pleasing some people… Alvaro Recoba (Inter) His attitude during his eight-minute substitute appearance earns him a place in our list this week. Whispers suggest he was unhappy because he was left out of the starting XI but it's not as if he's been a key player for Inter this term. -- 我們身體裡眷養的死亡一天天長大. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.127.206.114
