Let's make history, says Totti

Francesco Totti says that his side are ready to make
Tuesday's World Cup semi-final against Germany into
one of the most memorable of all time.
Two of the Azzurri's four previous meetings in the competition
are part of calcio folklore after winning the 1970 semi-final 4-3
and collecting a 3-1 victory in the 1982 Final.
But the Roma sensation has urged everyone involved to forget about
the past and concentrate on the present.
“Italy-Germany is a different game from the rest,” he stated.
“It's time to stop reading the papers, forget about the famous 4-3
and the Spain '82 Final.
Totti說：「義大利對德國的比賽與其他的對戰組合不同，
不過是時候放下報紙，忘掉那場出名的４－３勝仗與1982年西班牙世界盃了。」
“They are games that left their mark and are in the minds
of Italian fans. But we want to write a new chapter in Dortmund,
make it as memorable as possible.”

Germany will start the final four clash as slight favourites
even if the No 10 is remaining extremely optimistic.
“Beating the hosts would be great even if very difficult,”he continued.
“We have been handed a complicated assignment, but also a stimulating one.
「擊敗地主隊就太美好了，儘管會很困難，
我們被付予一項複雜的任務，但也會是激勵人心的一戰。」
“However, the Azzurri squad is determined, convinced, mentally prepared.
Therefore, we are in the best possible shape to achieve our objective.”

Some are already starting to speculate on an Italy-France Final
which would hand the Azzurri an opportunity for revenge with regards
to the Euro 2000 heartbreak.
“We shouldn't start thinking about the Final already,
I'm taking one game at a time,” warned the Roman.
談到義大利可能在決賽重現2000年歐錦賽決賽，有機會對法國展開復仇，

“Our opponent is called Germany and our objective is to beat them.
We'll think about the rest only after the game.”
