Buffon rues Frings suspension

Italy goalkeeper Gigi Buffon has revealed why the ban handed to
Torsten Frings for tonight's World Cup semi-final against Germany
is rotten luck for the Azzurri.

“It's hardly great news for me, he was the only player in which
I knew how he struck his penalties,” said the No 1.
Buffon說：「對我來說 Frings被禁賽根本算不上什麼好消息，
他是德國隊上我惟一知道會怎麼罰點球的球員啊！」

Frings was banned for the Westfalonstadion clash after TV images,
supplied by Sky Italia, were viewed by FIFA.

They clearly underlined that the Werder Bremen midfielder threw
a small punch in the face of Inter striker Julio Cruz after
their last eight win against Argentina.

“I think the decision handed to Frings was not at the request of
the Italian side,” added the former Parma 'keeper.
「我認為 Frings的禁賽決定並沒有受到義大利這邊的影響。」

“The fact that he has been banned for his gesture seems to suggests
that he should have been suspended.”
「事實上是他擺出有可能被禁賽的姿態然後就被禁賽了這樣。」
