Giovanni Trapattoni has given maiden calls to Stefano Bettarini,
Sergio Volpi and Parma’s Simone Barone for the international
friendly against the Czech Republic.
Trapattoni對Bettarini、Volpi與Parma的Barone發出了首次的國家隊徵召，

The Coach is now whittling down the list of names for this summer’s
European Championships, but took this opportunity to see some
alternatives for key roles.

As expected, Sampdoria defender Stefano Bettarini has received his
first Azzurri call-up at the ripe old age of 32.

Bettarini – more famous in Italy for his television star wife than
his silky skills – rejected a move to Spanish giants Valencia in
January and has impressed this season in the top flight.

Teammate Volpi has also made his name by working hard in Sampdoria’s
4-4-2 system as a talented winger.

Parma midfielder Simone Barone has become an integral part of the
Tardini set-up since taking over from the suspended Manuele Blasi
and also receives his first Italy call-up.
Parma中場Barone則是在Blasi被禁賽後，取代了Blasi的位置，
變成在三叉戟陣型中成為不可缺少的隊員之一，也因此接到了他的首次國家隊徵召。

The big clubs, led by Milan’s Carlo Ancelotti, made it clear this week
that they did not want their top stars tired out by international duty.
It was therefore agreed that only three players from each of the major
sides would be called up for this friendly test.
大俱樂部方面，Milan主教練Ancelotti在本週言明，
他們不希望隊上的球星因為參加國家隊的比賽而過於疲累，
因此每個大俱樂部都只有三名球員因為這次的友誼賽被徵召。

There are also some men out injured, including Inter’s Fabio Cannavaro
and Rossoneri hitman Filippo Inzaghi.
也有些球員是因傷病困擾而無法參賽的，包括Inter的Cannavaro，Milan的Inzaghi。

The game against Pavel Nedved’s Czech Republic will be played on
Wednesday evening in Palermo.
這場義大利國家隊對戰由Nedved領軍的捷克國家隊比賽將於週三晚間在Palermo舉行。
