Di Natale Extends With Empoli

Empoli attacker Antonio Di Natale has agreed a new contract with the
Tuscan outfit.
Many expected the 26-year-old to move on, but he has now agreed a new
deal -worth a reported ￡300,000- until 2007.
"Should the club be relegated then his wage would be cut," said agent
Bruno Carpegiani.
"But the fact that Empoli have handed Antonio a new contract illustrates
that they want to stay in the top flight. Both parties got what they
wanted."
