Inter confirm Vieri split

Christian Vieri is today without a club after Inter confirmed
that they had mutually agreed to terminate his contract.

The striker's deal was set to expire in June 2006
but has been rescinded following talks over the last few days.

"Negotiations between the club and the player were friendly
at every stage, respecting the needs of either party,"
read a statement on the club's website.

All the necessary paperwork was deposited with
the Italian Football League on Friday morning.

"Inter would like to thank Christian Vieri for his contribution,
over the last six years, to the history of this club,"
continued the Nerazzurri statement.

"Christian Vieri thanks Inter and the fans for their professional respect
for him and affection during the relationship."

No financial details of the settlement have been revealed,
but it is believed that the striker was handed around ￡6m
to terminate his contract a year early.

Vieri is now a free agent and is already being linked with Juventus,
Milan, Chelsea, Tottenham, CSKA Moscow, Valencia and Atletico Madrid.

國際米蘭官方剛剛宣佈，與隊內的近年來的最佳射手，意大利國腳維埃
裏解除合同，這也將意味著，維埃裏從現在開始將成?一名自由球員。

國際米蘭官方網站頭條報道了這一消息：“國際米蘭和維埃裏達成了相
互的協議，廢除雙方的合同，雙方原本的合同是到2006年６月30日。維
埃裏和俱樂部之間的談判在各個階段都進行得非常順利，今天早晨，關
於解除合同的文件已經送往了意大利足協的辦公室，用以註冊，國際米
蘭感謝維埃裏在過去的這６年當中對於俱樂部的貢獻，維埃裏也感謝國
際米蘭和國際米蘭的球迷對他的尊重和愛戴。”

維埃裏1999年從拉齊奧加盟國際米蘭，不過在曼奇尼執教以後，隨著年
輕的阿德裏亞諾和馬丁斯的崛起，維埃裏漸漸失去了主力的位置。在國
際米蘭期間，他一共為該隊打進了 102個聯賽進球，他的職業生涯也在
這裏達到了頂峰，維埃裏最為輝煌的時刻是在02／03賽季，他以24球成
為賽季最佳射手，並平了自己職業生涯的最高單賽季進球紀錄。

在剛剛宣佈完這一消息之後，國際米蘭官方網站已經以閃電般的速度把
維埃裏的資料從球隊名單中撤除。

明天將渡過32歲生日的維埃裏將在未來的２個月內將尋找新的東家，任
何球隊目前都可以以零代價簽下維埃裏。
