路加福音一46-56
馬利亞跟依撒伯爾住了3個月。
--馬利亞回家時，Elizabeth已經懷孕9個月，
沒過多久，洗者若翰（John the Baptist）就誕生了。

瑪利亞遂說： 「我的靈魂頌揚上主，
我的心神歡躍於天主， 我的救主，
因為衪垂顧了衪婢女的卑微， 今後萬世萬代都要稱我有福；
因全能者在我身上行了大事，衪的名字是聖的，
衪的仁慈世世代代於無窮世，賜於敬畏衪的人。
衪伸出了手臂施展大能，驅散那些心高氣傲的人。
衪從高座上推下權勢者，卻舉揚了卑微貧困的人。
衪曾使飢餓者飽饗美物，反使那富有者空手而去。
衪曾回憶起自己的仁慈，扶助了衪的僕人以色列，
正如衪向我們的祖先所說過的恩許，施思於亞巴郎和他的子孫，直到永遠。」
瑪利亞同依撒伯爾住了三個月左右，就回本家去了。
46 And Mary said: My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord
47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour;
48 because he has looked upon the humiliation of his servant. Yes,
from now onwards all generations will call me blessed,
49 for the Almighty has done great things for me. Holy is his name,
50 and his faithful love extends age after age to those who fear him.
51 He has used the power of his arm, he has routed the arrogant of heart.
52 He has pulled down princes from their thrones and raised high the lowly.
53 He has filled the starving with good things, sent the rich away empty.
54 He has come to the help of Israel his servant, mindful of his faithful love
55 -according to the promise he made to our ancestors -- of his mercy
to Abraham and to his descendants for ever.
56 Mary stayed with her some three months and then went home.
