耶穌一見他們的信心，就對癱子說：「孩子！你的罪赦了。」
那時，有幾個經師坐在那裏，心裏忖度說：
「怎麼這人這樣說話呢？他說了褻瀆的話；除了天主一個外，誰能赦罪呢？」
耶穌憑自己的神力，即刻認透了他們私自這樣忖度，遂向他們說：
「你們心中為什麼這樣忖度呢？什麼比較容易呢？
是對癱子說：你的罪赦了；還是說：起來，拿你的床走？
但為叫你們知道，人子在地上有權柄赦罪..」
──他遂對癱子說：
「我給你說：起來，拿你的床，回家去罷！」
那人遂起來，立刻拿起床，當著眾人的面走出去了，以致眾人大為驚愕，
遂光榮天主說：「我們從未見過這樣的事！」
5 Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, 'My child, your sins are
forgiven.'
6 Now some scribes were sitting there, and they thought to themselves,
7 'How can this man talk like that? He is being blasphemous. Who but God can
forgive sins?'
8 And at once, Jesus, inwardly aware that this is what they were thinking,
said to them, 'Why do you have these thoughts in your hearts?
9 Which of these is easier: to say to the paralytic, "Your sins are forgiven"
or to say, "Get up, pick up your stretcher and walk"?
10 But to prove to you that the Son of man has authority to forgive sins on
earth' --
11 he said to the paralytic-- 'I order you: get up, pick up your stretcher,
and go off home.'
12 And the man got up, and at once picked up his stretcher and walked out in
front of everyone, so that they were all astonished and praised God saying,
'We have never seen anything like this.'

個人心得：
人性的罪惡本質與欲望、業障的枷鎖，是比身體的苦還重的苦，
但要讓耶穌赦罪，也得自己願意。
某方面來說…自己渴望得救的意願，是很重要的，
重要到耶穌無法為我們做決定（即使祂是神）。
但我想應該每個人都渴望得救、擺脫內心的重擔
....只是不一定每個人都選擇耶穌作為他的道路....
