  Not Done Yet, But Almost

  The Celtics could have Paul Pierce back for four more
  seasons, but a source close to the negotiations said
  that the deal is not done with the veteran forward.

  The two sides have been talking for the past few days,
  since Pierce opted out of his contact on Tuesday night
  and they are close to the framework of a four-year contract,
  but the fourth year could be a sticking point.


  Avery Bradley Signed

  The Celtics have signed first round draft pick Avery
  Bradley, the team announced today. Contract details
  were not disclosed.

  The Celtics drafted Bradley with the 19th overall pick
  last week. Bradley, a guard, averaged 11.6 points and
  1.3 steals per game in his only season at the University
  of Texas.

 “What stood out to me clearly was his defense, that as
   a freshman, he defended right away. You don’t get that
   very often,” Doc Rivers said on draft night.

  Bradley is currently sidelined with an ankle injury but
  is expected to be ready for training camp.
