[外電]Celtics hold off pesky Bobcats

While several players talked openly about the likely addition of veteran
point guard Sam Cassell, Celtics coach Doc Rivers had a more immediate issue
on his mind.

"I'm not worried about it," he said. "I'm worried about [Charlotte]."

Considering how the Celtics had struggled against the lowly Bobcats, Rivers
had reason to be concerned. This game was no different as Boston held on for
a 108-100 victory in front of a sellout crowd Friday night at TD Banknorth
Garden.

Up by only 5 points with 1:22 remaining, the Celtics improved to an NBA-best
45-12 and completed a 9-4 February.

在比賽剩1:22時只領先五分的緊張情勢中，超塞拿下他們重要的一勝，也使總戰績提升到
45勝12負，整個二月則是9勝4負

The Celtics have won six straight home games and three straight overall. They
barely missed the franchise-record start of 45-11 set during the 1985-86
season. Charlotte dropped to 19-39 overall and 4-22 on the road.

超塞目前三連勝，在家則是六連勝。他們差點就能更新隊史在敗場數是11場時的最高勝場

Guard Ray Allen scored a team-high 23 points, center Kendrick Perkins added
19 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 blocks, and guard Rajon Rondo had a career-high
16 assists.

Charlotte guard Jason Richardson had a game-high 30 points.

This was reminiscent of the previous two meetings. The Celtics needed an
Allen 3-pointer at the buzzer to defeat host Charlotte, 96-95, Nov. 24. The
Bobcats defeated Boston, 95-83, Jan. 9, behind 34 points from Richardson.

兩隊前兩次交手都令人記憶猶新。第一次碰頭超塞靠著雷槍的最後一擊驚險獲勝，第二
次山貓則是有火燙的綠茶嬸，靠一人之力打爆超塞

In this game, Kevin Garnett went to the bench with two fouls at 8:51 of the
first quarter with the score 7-7. Boston finished the first with a 33-28 lead
after shooting 65 percent from the field and receiving 11 points from Perkins
on 4-of-5 shooting. Richardson also had 11 points.

這場比賽剛開始沒多久KG就吞下兩犯而只能乖乖待在板凳上，所幸超塞第一節還是以
33-28領先，這都要歸功於全隊高達65啪的命中率，以及Perkins發飆拿下11分。山貓這邊
靠綠茶嬸的11分讓比數不至於差太多

Garnett returned with 9:17 left in the second and Boston up, 33-32. An Eddie
House jumper gave the Celtics a 45-35 lead with 5:58 left in the second. The
Celtics went up, 56-41, on a fast-break lay-in by Rondo with 2:23 left.
During a Celtics timeout with 1:43 left, Garnett and Bobcats center Nazr
Mohammed began trash-talking and received double technicals. Paul Pierce
nailed a 3-pointer with 0.6 seconds left to give Boston a 61-46 halftime lead.

The Celtics shot 52.4 percent from the field in the half and nailed 6 of 10
3-pointers. Charlotte, which had only nine players available, shot 37.2
percent and allowed 26 points in the paint. Eight Celtics scored at least 5
points.

Boston went up 17 points, 69-52, on a Garnett jumper with 8:46 left in the
third. Charlotte, however, responded with an 11-4 run, slicing the deficit to
73-63 on a Matt Carroll 3-pointer. Perkins scored 8 points as the Celtics
finished the quarter with an 86-72 lead.

Charlotte stayed within reach by slicing its deficit to 10 points, 86-76, on
a fast-break lay-in by Earl Boykins early in the fourth. Bobcats rookie Jared
Dudley, a former Boston College star, made a lay-in with 9:03 remaining to
cut Boston's lead to 88-80.

Raymond Felton's lay-in with 7:12 left brought Charlotte within 91-84.
Mohammed's lay-in with 2:51 left sliced Charlotte's deficit to 96-91. Two
free throws by Richardson brought the Bobcats within 98-93 with 1:22
remaining. The Bobcats were still alive at 102-96 on a Dudley 3-pointer with
1:01 left, but could't get closer.

山貓持續反攻，不過始終無法把比數拉近到五分以內。Dudley在最後1:01投進了三分，
雖然又把差距拉近到102-96，可是為時已晚
