Getting Inside
The Celtics still have a game to go Saturday in New Orleans, but they already
have to count the journey a success. The wins Monday and Tuesday in San
Antonio and Houston made it four games in five nights and, dating back to
Saturday, three victories in a row. Then came Thursday’s win in Dallas.
賽亞人的西征，還剩下星期六的黃蜂族沒有出戰，但是這趟出征已經成功拿下德州。在這
五天四戰中，打敗了有個沒水準球迷的馬刺跟22連勝的火箭族，在德州三連勝之後，就是
要拿下西南組了。
The Celtics expect a lot from themselves, but the fact is they’re still
gaining confidence.
賽亞人預想應該會遭到很頑強的抵抗，但是事實證明我們還是有自信獲勝的。
“That’s pretty good, huh,” said Paul Pierce. “It’s hard to say if we’re
better than we thought. I don’t know if you can feel more confident after
what we’d already done, but the good thing about it is you can learn more
and more about your team with each test. That’s what it is. I mean, this was
pretty much I think our ultimate test in the regular season.
“You look at it; we come in after a grind-it-out game versus San Antonio on
a back-to-back on the road against the hottest team in the league—and then
we come out and win like we did. We haven’t had that situation before, and
to respond in the fashion we did it just shows you how gritty this team is. We
’re capable of anything.”

and the level of competition?

I think what helped was the rest we got late in the Milwaukee game. I never

Ray Allen, absent for the three previous games, came back in with 1:54 left
and hit a three-pointer with 31.7 seconds to go to give the Celts a 90-88
lead. James Posey added two free throws, and, after an Erick Dampier hoop,
Kevin Garnett cleaned it up with two free throws with 5.6 seconds left.

Pierce led the Celtics with 22 points, while Allen had 21 and Kevin Garnett
20 to complete a perfect tour of San Antonio, Houston and Dallas.

The Celtics have now won eight straight on the road.

‧ Kevin Garnett took the high road in response to Timberwolves’ owner Glen
Taylor’s comments that he tanked last season by missing the last five games
with an injury.

also may have played a small part in building it. Rockets GM Daryl Morey
spent three years in the Celtic organization honing the skills that have
helped him add to the Houston core over the last two seasons.
