Teams are interested in free agent center Chris Mihm and the Celtics
may not be able to hold onto him. That's why they would rather
sign-and-trade the fourth-year pro in an effort to build up their
starting lineup. Mihm is a so-so big man that still shows promise so
it is not as if the C's are dumping luggage. However, with the emergence
of Mark Blount as the starting center and the presence of Raef LaFrentz
and now Kendrick Perkins, the team would rather move out some extra
beef along. Coupled with unclogging the glut of swingmen and guards
the Celtics could snag a high-caliber power forward in a package that
would include the Mihmster.
