Point guard Rajon Rondo will miss the Celtics' visit to Miami Wednesday and
could also be out for Friday's game against Memphis.
Rondo, injured during the first quarter of a 105-94 win over Cleveland
Friday, trained briefly Monday with his sprained right ankle taped. He
continued to play in the game and finished with 10 assists, but sat out
yesterday against the Magic.
Forward Glen Davis (right ankle sprain) attended practice, his lower right
leg in a stabilizing boot. The second-year forward sprained his ankle as he
was called for his fifth foul during Sunday's 86-79 loss to Orlando, a charge
against the defending of Marcin Gortat 5:35 into the second half.
"We'll probably be down to 10 for probably this whole week," coach Doc Rivers
said. "[Davis] and Rondo are out and will be out for probably the next couple
games, maybe the next week.
"I actually made the comment [after Sunday's game] that Rondo would be ready
for Wednesday, I think we were wrong."
