Pierce, Celtics have a leg up

Celtics' captain Paul Pierce limped through the final part of the game after
receiving a blow to his left leg, providing the deciding points with 3.4
seconds remaining. Pierce did not know when he was kicked, or who kicked him.
But Pierce said today he was recovering and will be ready to perform in
Thursday's visit to Chicago for Game 6.

超賽隊長PP在比賽還勝3.4秒時，左腿受到撞擊以致步履有些蹣跚，而他甚至不清楚到底
是他去踢到別人，還是他被別人踢到......囧 不過他表示他已經做好第六場比賽上場的
準備。

"It's a little sore, I'll use today to recover," Pierce said. "Get some
treatment, get a massage, rest, things like that. I'll be ready for tomorrow.
It's a little sore but it's better than it was yesterday. It's nothing more
than a light bruise on the calf muscle, so some ice should be able to take care
of it.

「我感覺的確不舒服，但我在恢復中！」PP說：「我接受了治療、按摩，經過休息，我為明
天做好準備，雖然有點痛但比昨天好多了！這只不過是輕微的肌肉挫傷(light bruise on
the calf muscle) ，冰敷就可以解決了。」

"That's the way the playoffs are played. The refs aren't going to give you
anything they're going to make you earn everything. And that's the way it
should be. The refs are doing a great job, letting both teams play, and that's
what's making it an exciting series.

PP表示：「這就是季後賽的強度，你不能期望從裁判那裡得到什麼，自己才是最可靠，
(況且)裁判們做的不錯，他們讓比賽維持流暢，這就是此系列賽精采的原因之一呀！」

Doc on guard

Rivers continues to search for a way to get more involvement out of backup
guards Eddie House and Stephon Marbury.

河流仍然在尋找解放房子和馬大少的方法。

Thus far, however, the rotation for the two has mirrored Rivers’ either/or use
last year of House and Sam Cassell.

目前看來，河流對他們兩人的使用方法請參照去年的「房子暨外星人使用指南」。

“We’ve had Rondo and Steph on the floor together, we’ve had Rondo, Ray
(Allen) and Eddie together, so they’ll have their time,” Rivers said. “It’s
not the offense that I look at, it’s the defense, and if we’re not operating
defensively, that’s what gets you not to play.”

Marbury understands.

河流說：「我們有時候會讓RONDO和馬大少同時上場，有時後是讓RONDO、雷槍、房子一起
上場，他們有各自的上場時間。我真正在意的不是進攻，而是他們的防守，如果你的防守表
現不夠好，你可能無法得到上場時間。」

 看來河流對房子的防守不甚滿意，以致房子今年季後賽上場時間少的可憐。)

而關於河流的想法，馬大少懂得的。

“I mean, sometimes you make a decision because of the way our guys are playing,
” he said. “It’s tough taking Rondo and Ray and those guys out right now,
especially how Rondo’s playing. You want him to continue like that, and he’s
durable enough to play as long as he’s been playing.

馬大少說：「我知道，有時候你要根據球員的狀態來決定誰該上場，就像現在RONDO和雷槍
的情況一樣，尤其是RONDO，在他飛揮如此出色的時候，大家都希望他能持續滿檔，而他確
實也有能力做到。」

“On my part, I’ve just got to continue to stay ready. I’ve got to do
everything that’s needed for me to stay ready to be able to help this team,
because that’s really the focal point and what it’s really about. Hey, I wasn
’t playing (before signing with the Celtics), so for me to be able to have
this opportunity is a blessing for me.

「只要是能幫助球隊的事情，我都願意去做！」

“I’ll guard anybody. I can guard 1 to 3. But, like I said, it was just a
decision Doc made. He wanted to go with that group, and I was fine with it
because it’s all about trying to win and advance. That’s all I want. I want
to play; don’t get me wrong. But the most important thing is us winning.”

「我會防守任何需要防守的球員，我能從一號位守到三號位，不過一切還需要河流的做出
做出決定，他希望我們能夠更好，我也不會對此有意見，這一切都是為了勝利，那就是
我要的。我想上場打球，但別誤會我的意思，現在對我們而言最重要的事情就是勝利！」
