"I think Mark was very inconsistent last year, but Mark's role was
inconsistent,"the president of basketball operations said. "I think that
Mark will be better this year. I think that him and (Doc Rivers) know each
other a little better.
"I defended Mark all year last year, and I'll continue to defend Mark.
I mean, people that make the assumption that he had his contract and he
tanked it and he quit on the team – I don't buy into any of that. I think
that Mark was in better shape than anybody on our team last year coming into
training camp. I think Mark's going to have a good year."
