No bid for Tevez

Chelsea's chief executive Peter Kenyon has countered claims that the club
has made an attempt to buy Argentine striker Carlos Tevez.


Chelsea have been heavily linked with the player ever since Jose Mourinho
earlier this month watched the second leg of the Copa Libertadores tie in
Brazil between Tevez's club Corinthians and River Plate.


Kenyon this weekend has said: “We have looked at him [Tevez] and he is a
good player and does a good job but all the reports of linking us with
bids are not right. I would be surprised if I saw him in a Chelsea shirt
this season coming.”
