不能令人完全放心。
阿爾西德斯去年1月份被切爾西租借給了埃因霍溫，這名後防線上的多面手，可
以打右邊衛和中衛等各個位置。阿爾西德斯今年22歲，身高1.90米，速度快、頭球出
色，技術細膩，是近年冒出來的巴西新秀。在埃因霍溫得到了充分鍛煉後，阿爾西德
斯很有希望成為藍軍後防線上的有益補充。
阿爾西德斯說，“我的經紀人正在跟切爾西談論我的未來，我想知道他們是如何

PSV's Alcides Plays It Both Ways

Alcides Eduardo Mendes de Araujo Alves, which is the 22-year-old's full
name, joined the Eredivisie champions on loan from Chelsea in January
2007. He has played in 35 games and scored twice, but several Dutch media
have suggested that Chelsea will take him back at the end of the season –
and perhaps sell him to another club.
The former Schalke, Santos and Benfica central defender, who also holds a
Portuguese passport, has once again declared his wish to stay in the
Netherlands, but he has also kept the Chelsea option open.
“I want to stay here. PSV is my third club since I left Brazil (in 2003)
and it’s a really big break for a young player. Adaptation on and off the
field has been easy, because of the presence of several other South
Americans. I really feel at home,” he told De Telegraaf daily.
While PSV Eindhoven would also gladly hold on to Alcides for at least
another year, his annual wages are a major obstacle, whereas buying his
sporting rights from the English Cup holders is obviously out of the
question. As media reports suggest, his salary is two times the money the
club's best paid player earns.
“My agent is currently in talks with Chelsea about my future. They have
an option of another two years and we want to know what their plans are,”
Alcides went on.
The Brazilian is expected to play against Tottenham at “White Hart Lane”
for the UEFA Cup tomorrow and he thinks he can convince Avram Grant he's
got what it takes to follow the footsteps of compatriot Alex.
“This is the ideal opportunity for me to show Chelsea that I'm up to the
high level of the English game.”
