With just a few days until our Premier League season kicks off, Ricardo
Carvalho has been talking about the importance of a strong start.

Riccy has appeared in all of our pre-season games so far, but knows that the
rehearsals are now over and it's time to get serious. 'We have to start well,

games,' he said. 'Even in friendly games it is important to win to get
condition to play seriously and play well, and now I think we have a lot of
injuries but we have a good team and the players are ready.'

have our chance to help the team and become stronger. Everyone is a big
player here so we have to show our strength.'

let's carry on winning our games at home!'
