Pettigrew extends stay
16th October 2007
Chelsea's Adrian Pettigrew has extended his loan spell at Brentford by a
further month.
The 20-year-old has impressed during his time at Griffin Park making 11
appearances for the League Two side. He was originally signed on a
one-month deal just before the start of the season but has gone on to
become a key figure under boss Terry Butcher playing mainly as a central
defender.
The extension to the loan arrangement runs until 11th November meaning
that Pettigrew will now be free to play in the away matches at Rochdale,
Bradford and Macclesfield, as well as the home game with Lincoln City.
Chelsea have also granted Pettigrew permission to play for the Bees in the
FA Cup first round on 10th November.
Meanwhile, Ben Hamer and Grant Basey have returned to Reading and Charlton
respectively having completed their loan deals.
