EXCLUSIVE DECO: HIS FIRST INTERVIEW AS A CHELSEA PLAYER Stay at Bridge and
we'll be kings of midfield together, says DECO

Chelsea new boy Deco has told Frank Lampard: Stay at Stamford Bridge and
we will rule midfield together.

Deco is desperate to play alongside the England star and has sent a
message to his new team-mate to turn down an offer to join Jose Mourinho
at Inter Milan.
Speaking exclusively for the first time since joining forces with his
former national coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, who is the new boss at the
Bridge, Deco said: "I think I can be compatible with Lampard on the pitch.
"That is, of course, something that the trainer has to decide - he is in
charge. But I have seen a lot of Chelsea games on the TV, and together
Frank and I can create a lot of danger for other teams."
Deco, 30, is the first recruit of new manager Scolari, but he knows he
won't be the last. He added: "Four years ago I received a great offer from
Chelsea because Jose Mourinho wanted me in his new project.
"I even talked with Abramovich but Porto already had agreed a deal with
Barcelona and I had given my word. At the time my friendship with Mourinho
brought me close to Chelsea but I ended up at Barcelona.
"Now it is time to move on and I don't think I will regret the decision.
People can think what they want but money did not influence my decision.
I am 30 and I still have a massive amount to give.
"現在到了轉會的時候，我不會後悔的，隨便人們去說吧，但金錢並不會影響我，我
已經30歲了，不過我還是能做出巨大的貢獻。"
"Scolari's arrival at Chelsea has influenced my decision a lot. I get on
very well with him so it is easy to train, play and perform. Chelsea's
sporting project is exciting and that is why I have decided to come here.

"At Chelsea, Ricardo Carvalho and Paulo Ferreira are like brothers to me
for everything that we have been through together. John Terry and Lampard
are fantastic, and players such as Michael Essien, Ashley Cole and Michael
Ballack are also superstars. It is a great squad but they have told me
that more players will arrive."

There is growing speculation that one of those players will be Deco's
former Barca team-mate Ronaldinho.

But the Chelsea new boy admits: "I have read 20,000 different accounts of
what he is going to do next. I don't know. As a friend and teammate, of
course I would like to have him alongside me here at Chelsea, but that is
all up to the bosses."
