Ghanaian president visits Essien

Ghanaian president John Agyekum Kuffuor paid a surprise visit to Chelsea's
Michael Essien in London as the midfielder recuperates from injury.

迦納總統庫佛爾跑到倫敦去看埃辛。


Mr. Kuffuor arrived in London on Saturday to wish the Ghanaian ace a
speedy recovery after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament whilst on
international duty. Essien suffered the setback whilst playing for the
Black Stars in their World Cup qualifier against Libya this month.


The West African country's leader was happy about Essien's recovery rate
following last week's surgery and he is confident the Chelsea star will
return stronger.

他很開心看到埃辛正在復原。


"It is unfortunate that at such a crucial time for your country and club
this injury comes to halt the tremendous impact you make when playing,"
Kuffuor said.

 "埃辛的受傷，對俱樂部和國家隊來說這都是很不幸的。"


"But from what I have seen here I am sure you will return to action soon
and stronger than what we have ever known you to be."

 "但我相信他一定能很快的回到球場的，而且變得更強。"


Essien gave Mr. Kuffuor a signed Chelsea jersey with ESSIEN embossed at
the back.

埃辛也送了一件他的球衣給總統。


Chelsea may be paying for his medical treatment even though he suffered
the injury on national team duty, but the England-based star vowed his
commitment to the Black Stars.

卻爾西可能會收到醫療賠償，但埃辛堅持對祖國效忠。


"In fact I can't expressed my happiness enough to see the president
himself come to my house to visit me. I am very grateful to him," Essien
said. "I want to assure Mr. President and all Ghanaians that I am always
ready to serve my country anytime in whatever capacity.

 "我不能形容總統來我家看我的那種興奮程度，我太感謝他了。我跟總統和全國人民
保證，我永遠準備好為加納服務。"


"Ghanaians have shown me much support since this injury and goes to show
that it is always with a pleasure that I serve my country."

 "自從我受傷後，迦納人都支持我，為祖國效力永遠是最開心的。"


The 25-year-old had the surgery in France last week, and is expected to be
side lined until mid-February.

埃辛估計二月中才能回來.....
