Wright-Phillips happy at Chelsea


Shaun Wright-Philips insists he is happy at Chelsea, despite a difficult first
season at Stamford Bridge.

The 24-year-old midfielder joined the Blues for ￡21m from Manchester City in
2005 but has struggled to hold down a regular place in Jose Mourinho's team.

He told BBC Five Live Sport: "I don't have any regrets about moving. It's all
a big learning curve and I've actually become a better and a wiser player.

"My Chelsea contract is for four more years, that's all that is on my mind."

He made only 10 Premiership starts during the 2005-2006 campaign and was
subsequently overlooked for England's World Cup squad this summer.

Wright-Phillips has eight England caps and former Manchester City manager
Stuart Pearce has indicated that he would be prepared to welcome him back to
the club.

"In the Champions League, everything seems like a walk in the park for him.
No doubt he'll be able to bring that quality from there straight to the
Premier League. It's what we need really. We just need the competition.

Essien cool on Chelsea place
