Chelsea Football Club will tomorrow unveil a radical new website.
www.chelseafc.com will set new standards for future football websites in
terms of design, innovation and embracing social trends in the digital
age.

The site has been developed with Premium TV to give Chelsea FC fans a
unique interactive online experience.

Chelsea Chief Executive Peter Kenyon said: “Chelsea's vision is to be
internationally recognised as the world's number one football club by 2014

of the site on one page and choose to zoom in and zoom out on pages of
their choice. The site is also built entirely in Flash technology.

PETER KENYON LAUNCHES NEW CFC WEBSITE

Peter Kenyon launched the new official Chelsea website this morning and
announced it as one of the most important developments in the club's
progress.

'It is a big day for us,' said the chief executive. 'Chelsea's aspirations
as a football club is well known, to be by 2014 recognised as the number
one club. Apart from continuing to be successful on the football field it
is about building our business, and a key part of that is communicating
with our fans, and to do that it is about building the website.
“今天對我們來說十分重要。”我們的首席執行長說道，“切爾西渴望成為一個知名

'It's critically important. The internet is becoming the first reference
point. This is the most cost effective way of interacting with our fans

Oli Slipper, chief executive of Premium TV which has designed the site,
explained his brief.

'The message was loud and clear, create something that is unique in the
sports marketplace. Visually dynamic, technically advanced. The imagery is
very strong and it's almost a newspaper quality.

'We have been challenged both technically and creatively, and I think it's
taken football websites to the next level.'

A feedback form will be posted on the site in a few days after people have
become used to the new design. A second phase of development is scheduled
so we will welcome all comments and suggestions for improvements when the
feedback form is published.
