Zola takes on UNICEF role

Former Chelsea star Gianfranco Zola has this week been named an ambassador
for the United Nations' children's charity UNICEF.

His appointment to his new role with UNICEF (United Nations International
Children's Emergency Fund) was announced by the Italian UNICEF president
Antonio Sclavi.

Zola, who left Chelsea in 2003 after seven seasons playing at Stamford
Bridge, during which time he was voted the club's best ever player, is
currently working as assistant to another former Blue, Pierluigi
Casiraghi, with the Italy Under 21 side.
