CHELSEA TRIBUTE AFTER TRAGEDY

It is with huge sadness that Chelsea Football Club has received the
official confirmation of the tragic deaths of Phillip Carter (pictured)
and his son Andrew following a helicopter crash.

切爾西足球俱樂部收到了官方的確認，菲利普˙卡特(圖)和他的兒子安德魯在直升機
墜機事故後悲慘死亡，這是一個巨大的悲傷。


Our immediate thoughts and sincere condolences go to his wife Judith, and
daughter Natalya, family, friends and business colleagues.

Fellow Chelsea fan Jonathan Waller and pilot Stephen Holdich were also
travelling with Phil and Andrew from the Champions League semi-final in
Liverpool and their bodies are expected to be formally identified later
today.

Pending that official confirmation, everybody at Chelsea FC would also
like to extend our thoughts and condolences to their families.

Phil, aged 44, will always be remembered as one of our most committed fans
and a very popular, larger than life character.

A lifelong supporter, he was a season ticket holder in the East Stand for
many years, before taking one of the boxes in the West Stand when it was
first built and was then invited to be a vice-president five years ago, an
honorary position.

後，他擁有了一個包廂，五年前，他應邀成為理事會副主席，這是一個榮譽的位置。


He had four seats in the Directors Box and was normally accompanied by
Andrew, 17, and frequently by his father Tom. He was present at every home
game, travelled to most away games and every European trip.

Phil was a generous supporter of all Chelsea Pitch Owner events and
recently accompanied another vice-president, Tony Reeves, to our Champions
League match in Porto as a guest of the Chelsea directors, having made a
substantial donation for a prize to be part of the official club party at
an auction in support of the Chelsea Past Players Trust.

菲爾是“切爾西球場擁有者”的大力支持者，最近他作為切爾西董事會的客人和另一
位副主席托尼˙里夫斯一起到客場觀看了冠軍聯賽與波爾圖的比賽，在一場為支持
“切爾西老球員保險”的俱樂部官方拍賣會上，他做出了捐獻。


As a tribute to their lives, and as a mark of respect, the Chelsea team
will be wearing black armbands at the next home match against Manchester
United.
