When the team sheet is handed in at 3pm this afternoon, it will be
discovered if Michael Essien will continue as Ricardo Carvalho's
replacement in central defence against Arsenal.

當下午三點先發名單出現後，你發現埃辛仍然出現在中衛的話，請別訝異。


Alternatively, another player may be deployed there and the Ghanaian moved
to one of the other positions he has been asked to fill this season -
whether it be right-back, holding midfielder or a forward-running player
on the right of midfield.

當然也有可能讓其他人來填補中衛的空缺，讓埃辛去打任何一個需要的位置 - 無論
是右後衛、後腰還是右中場。


Despite the impressive versatility displayed this season, Jose Mourinho
has a clear vision of where his player should ideally be used.

雖然是萬金油，但教練還是知道埃辛最好的位置在哪。


'He's a runner and the right-side of midfield is his best position, not as
a midfield anchorman because he's too strong and has too much energy for
the position in front of defenders.'

 "他應該是一名不斷狂奔的右中場，而不是一名後腰，因為他太強壯了，精力旺盛。"


The Chelsea manager was speaking during his recent Mourinho Monthly
interview on Chelsea TV and also explained Essien's importance in
Chelsea's ability to alter tactics and win games late on.

在接受卻爾西電視台訪談時，教練提到了埃辛的重要性。


'Normally when we do changes for the last part of the game, other people
are tired but he has just finished his warm-up! He can make an impact,
running from behind and he is very technical. For the last part of a
match, he goes forward and he's very strong.'

 "當比賽到了下半場後段，大家都累個半死的時候，埃辛才剛完成他的熱身而已！他
能帶來衝擊，他的技術也很不錯，他太強大了。"


The bookmakers need some convincing of Essien's ability to score late on,
as he did in Valencia and in the home game against Arsenal, with Coral
quoting him a long 25/1 to score the last goal of this afternoon's game,
but Mourinho adds:

今晚埃辛在酋長球場的進球賠率是25/1~~


'Michael was even criticised in the first season that the goal was too
small for his shots but he's scoring unbelievable goals now. He has
strength, good quality, technically very good and also passes well. His
contract at Chelsea will keep him here for a long period which is
fantastic.'

 "埃辛剛來時曾被批評，但他現在也能進一些漂亮的球了，他實在是個全能球員，卻
爾西能留住他是一件多美好的事。"


Following Man United's victory in the Manchester derby, the Chelsea
players head to north London knowing they must win against Arsenal today
to keep the title race going.

隨著曼聯在曼城球場獲勝，意味著我們也必須在酋長球場全取三分。
