Blues snap up Slovakian starlet
Chelsea have arranged a deal to bring 14-year-old Slovakian talent Milan
Lalkovic to England.
The promising young FC Kosice striker has enjoyed four trial spells at Stamford
Bridge and will now link up with the Premiership giants' youth squad in July.
As Lalkovic is not yet 16 he cannot sign a formal contract, but The Blues will
have high hopes for the player they first spotted in an Under 14 international
between Slovakia and Hungary in November 2006.
The teenage talent scored four goals in one game during his third trial spell,
and Lalkovic's father, also called Milan, has now confirmed that his son will
be moving to Stamford Bridge after impressing Frank Arnesen.
"A week before the last visit in London we already knew that we would move
there and stay on a permanent basis from 1st July." Lalkovic senior told SITA.
"Chelsea director of youth development Frank Arnesen announced it to us.
"Last time we were there only to finalise the details.
"We have arranged that he will study in a private international school, he has
already seen his future class-mates.
"We wanted to direct everything in the way that he would continue with his
training as well as studying
