MOURINHO BECOMES CLIC SARGENT PATRON

Jose Mourinho announced today that he has become a patron of the UK's
leading children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent.

CLIC Sargent are the official charity partner of Chelsea FC. The club and
Jose are also helping to promote Childrens' Cancer Awareness Month which
is running throughout December.

Between now and Christmas, 180 families will be told that their child has
been diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia - 10 each day.

Jose, who has two young children, is well aware of the emotional burden
this places on families, especially at this time of year.

my support for CLIC Sargent I want to help every child and young person

Chelsea has raised more than half a million pounds for CLIC Sargent since
the partnership started in April 2005.

The team has also gone that one step further, directly helping the lives
of children with cancer; from hospital visits to providing last minute
accommodation for families who children desperately need treatment.

One little boy, Mark Franco, had a brain tumour and needed life-saving
treatment at the University College London Hospital but he lived in

Chelsea stepped in and put his family up in the Chelsea Hotel.
