Chelsea's Spy In The Camp has been bringing inside news, banter and
comment for 20 years in the matchday programme, on Chelsea TV and now on
the web. He catches up with matters relating to the Newcastle game last
night.

Frankie Parker, Scott's son, left St James's Park last night, Wednesday,
and turned to his father and said: 'That was one of your friends who
scored, wasn't it, Dad?'

Scott ruffled Frankie's hair, and replied with a smile: 'I'm not so sure

Everyone standing around laughed. Poor old Newcastle. Poor old Scott. He
played well.

After the game, the team changed in record time and raced for the coach
which then headed speedily for the airport in a bid to beat the fog. The
fog was coming down at an alarming rate, but there was always optimistic
news from Gatwick.

In the end the team aeroplane took off before midnight and landed at
12.45am. The fog around the coach on the way back to Cobham was bad, but
most players would have been in their beds by 2.30am. Training was at
11.30 this morning.

What a great turn-out from Chelsea fans last night. Just over 850 went.
Not a massive number, but on a foggy winter Wednesday night, five days
before Christmas on the other side of the country, for a Cup game when you
know several top players won't be starting, it was magnificent.
昨晚來看球的切迷真是不少，已經超過了850人，雖然數字不是很大，但是在一個冬

They didn't get behind their team that impressively, and the 850-plus
Chelsea crew made the noise throughout. From up there in the freezing gods
at St James's Park, that was a top performance.

Makelele, and informing Maka afterwards that he was now to man in that

two minutes at Reading in stoppage time, but what are the chances of him
having a longer period of a game in central defence?
