Training late when everyone is around

There is no training today for the non-international players. They have a

near-weekend off. Instead, with the Birmingham game being played on Tuesday

evening, there is a session tomorrow evening, Sunday, which all the

internationals can get back for as well.



Yesterday? one international was a bad day for Chelsea. England Under 21s lost

1-0 in Turkey and Glen Johnson was sent off for his second bookable offence

with five minutes to go.




Today? international action involves: Bosnia-Herzegovina v Denmark (jesper

Gronkjaer), France v Israel (Marcel Desailly has been pronounced unfit, we

await to hear about William Gallas), Germany v Iceland (Eidur Gudjohnsen

captains his country who have a chance of their first ever play-off

qualification), Switzerland v Ireland (Damien Duff), Turkey v England (John

Terry, Frank Lampard, Wayne Bridge and Joe Cole)  and the friendly Romania v

Japan (Adrian Mutu).
