Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has offered his support to Rio Ferdinand in
the wake of the England defender's suspension.
Ferdinand has been hit with an eight-month ban after failing to attend a drugs
test and is set to miss the Euro 2004 finals as a result.
Lampard told the Evening Standard: "I have not had a chance to speak to Rio but
I feel for him.
"It is a bad situation for him. I hope they can get the ban reduced because no
one deserves to miss the European Championships like that."
