    Lampard, who still has two years left on his existing contract, declared: '

The past three years have been the best and most enjoyable of my career.


    'The relationship I have with the fans makes me want to stay here for the

rest of my career. If I was offered a long-term contract which enabled me to

finish my career here, I would sign it as long as the circumstances were right.


    'Obviously, money plays a part but I think that I've worked hard to be an

important player at this club and I just want to be rewarded. I'm not asking for

anything more than that and hopefully it will happen.


    'It would be nice to do it before the European Championships and be clear

in my mind that I was settled here for a long time to come.'


    'I think there's interest from them, to be honest, and you take it as

flattering as teams like that don't come in for you unless you're doing

something right,' admitted Lampard.


    Lampard, who has been a Premiership ever-present this season, is the

front-runner to be voted as Chelsea's player of the season, although he insists

there are other candidates, such as John Terry.


    'It would be a great honour for me but JT has had a great year and so have

other players, including those who don't get as much credit, like Wayne Bridge,'

he said.


    'Obviously, I want to win things but coming second to Thierry Henry was

like coming second to Gianfranco Zola in the player of the season awards at

Chelsea last year.'
