Peter Kenyon admits nothing

Peter Kenyon neither confirmed nor denied speculation about Jose Murinho
being our next manager when interviewed on television at half-time of the
Champions League Final this evening.
“There’s lots of speculation,” he admitted. “Claudio is our manager
and remains our manager until that changes and right now the speculation
remains enormous.
“I think what you’ve got tonight are probably the two best young
coaches in Europe. These guys are going to continue their careers, they’ve
done tremendously well to get here as we know first hand from one of them.
“But we’ve come off a very successful season for Chelsea, semi-
finalists and finishing second, automatic qualifiers for this competition
next season.
He responded to questions about belief that Murinho’s next working port
of call is England by stating the obvious. “There’s more teams than Chelsea
in England. But I think we’ve got to get things resolved next week, start
planning for next season. Claudio and I had a good meeting yesterday on
players. This isn’t a holiday period for us, this is about preparing for
next season, we’re fully involved in that process and that’s what we’ll be
getting on with next week.”
