Paul Scholes has admitted his poor form for England may cost him a place
in the starting line-up at Euro 2004.
The Manchester United midfielder last scored an international goal three
years ago and fears he may be replaced by in-form Chelsea star Frank Lampard.
But Scholes, 29, insists he would understand if coach Sven Goran Eriksson
opted to start with Lampard.
'I know I've had a good run in the team without scoring and Frank has had
great season for Chelsea,' Scholes told The People.
'If the manager was to pick him instead of me, I would wish Frank all the
best because I've not done what I should be doing for England for three years.
'I have to think I could be dropped. Players like Frank are having a great
season and deserve to be given a chance.'
