Police probe break-in at home of Veron

Chelsea Football Club can confirm that an incident took place at the
home of Juan Sebastian Veron in south-west London over the weekend. Neither
the player nor any of his family, who were at home at the time, were harmed
during the break-in. Police are investigating the incident.

Seba expresses his thanks

Juan Sebastian Veron last night issued the following statement. He said:
"I would like to express my thanks to the police on behalf of my family and
our friends for their very swift response to our call for help."
"Both the police and our neighbours have been very supportive since the
incident. We have had a little bit of a scare but no-one is injured and life
goes on."
The player has told Chelsea that he does not plan to make any further
comment about the incident.
