Veron Needs Back Operation

Chelsea Football Club can confirm today that Juan Sebastian Veron will
undergo back surgery in his home country of Argentina.
The midfield player and his family have flown home where he will be
treated by surgeons who are well-known to him. He will spend the appropriate
length of time in Argentina recuperating from the operation before returning
to the club.
Interim Chief Executive Paul Smith said: "We hope Juan will be fit enough
to rejoin us before the season reaches its climax and strengthen our challenge
for trophies. He has expressed a wish to undergo the surgery in Argentina as
he is comfortable and familiar with the medical team, and the club fully
supports this decision."
