The veteran midfielder's deal at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season and his future with The Premiership's big-spenders is unclear. The Frenchman is wanted by a string of clubs but he insists he wants to stay in West London, providing The Blues still have a place for him in their star-studded ranks. "My contract will finish in June," Petit told L'Equipe. "Several clubs, French and foreign, have asked for information. "My priority remains Chelsea but only if the club still wants me. "But, frankly, I don't know what my future will be. For the moment, the most important thing is to find my best level again. "I can see myself playing for another two years, at least." Petit returned from a four-month injury lay-off as a second half substitute against Scarborough in the FA Cup at the weekend after battling back from a knee problem. The 33-year-old concedes he requires more playing time to regain his match sharpness but he has thanked manager Claudio Ranieri for his patience. "I think I will need two or three matches to find the true pace of the competition," he added. "Claudio Ranieri had an irreproachable behaviour towards me. During my convalescence he asked for news about my health every day." His return to action is a timely boost for Chelsea as he will add experience to the club's title challenge, with Petit feeling February could determine the club's Premiership aspirations. "My aim is to win the national title," Petit continued. "I think we have the potential to succeed. "In February, we have several important matches. If we can make up the gap on Arsenal before playing them, everything remains possible." -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.216.50.101
