Graeme Souness believes that Claudio Ranieri's biggest problem at
Chelsea will be salving the bruised egos of the superstars he leaves out of
his starting line-ups.
Souness found himself struggling to keep his squad happy when he was in
charge at Rangers, but admits it is a nice problem to have as a manager.
”Top players invariably have the biggest egos,” explains Souness.
”The two things tend to go hand-in-hand as those guys think they are
the best.
”And to be fair to them - in a lot of cases - they're right. But leaving
them out is always more of a problem.
”But it's a problem any manager would love to have and I think Ranieri's
handled it well in that respect.
”He's a wonderful squad to pick from and with their resources it's be
hard to field anything but a strong team.”
