http://msn.skysports.com/skysports/article/0,,46-1123808,00.html Wednesday 18th February 2004 Real Madrid star Ronaldo has admitted he would be ready to talk to Chelsea about a summer move to The Premiership. The West Londoners have long been linked with a move for the Brazilian hit-man, along with a number of his Real team mates, and backed by Roman Abramovich's millions would have the financial clout to pull off a deal. Now Ronaldo has admitted that, despite being happy at El Santiago Bernabeu, he would consider a move to England. Chelsea are, in reality, the only team in English - and arguably world - football with the financial muscle to consider a move for the striker and, despite not mentioning them directly, the South American conceded when questioned that he was aware of their well-documented interest. "When there is interest from other teams, you have to listen - especially when that interest comes from England and I've never played in the English league," stated the 27-year-old. "I know there is interest from English clubs though, as yet, there's nothing concrete. "Right now I'm happy at Real and love the club but I'd be foolish to dismiss any interest in me." Ronaldo's comments will be greeted with huge interest by the top brass at Chelsea who would be willing to break the bank to lure the former Internazionale star to Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, the striker insists he and his Brazil colleagues will be keen to emerge victorious from their friendly international with Republic of Ireland at Lansdowne Road on Wednesday night. "I believe Ireland are a strong team," he added.
