ZOLA REJECTS BLUES RETURN TALK

Former Chelsea star Gianfranco Zola has moved to dismiss reports that
he could make a return to Stamford Bridge.
Reports in England suggested that the skilful Italian was being lined
up for a shock return to West London at the end of the season, but Zola
has rejected the notion.
Zola insists he is happy at Cagliari and he is considering extending
his stay at the Serie B club.
"After many years in England I haven't any faith in tabloids", Zola
told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "Anyway I've immediately called Chelsea
to clear everything and to apologise.
"The story that there is an offer for me at Chelsea is all speculation.
"The truth? The truth is that I'm thinking seriously to continue
playing with Cagliari.
"I feel good, I'm continuing playing on satisfying levels and at this
point I would like to play also in 2004-2005 season. But obviously it's not
only up to me, but if everything will continue going in this way, I'm open.
"I'm playing a really important championship for me and for Cagliari
and the last thing there is in my mind is a future at Chelsea.
"Surely I know I left a good memory. But there is nothing definite.
I'll play for Cagliari until the end."
